I recently purchased new home theatre system which includes a Sony KDL52-XBR4 tv. I've now purchased a Harmony 890 remote and am in the process of programming it. Everything is going well, except that I can't get the TV to go to the correct input.

For example, if the TV is currently set to HDMI 2, and I want to watch TV which requires HDMI 1, the Harmony brings up the Input Menu and scrolls down one position to HDMI 3. I've tried all the different setup options, but have been unsuccessful as of yet.

I'm guessing I'm missing something simple, but I need someone to point me in the right direction.

Go into Device mode on your 890 and select your TV. Scroll through all of the LCD screen and see if any of them will select the correct inputs. If they do, redo your setup and select those inputs. It could be your TV has discrete input commands even if your TV remote does not.
