I bought my HDMI cable last year in August when I bought my HDTV and didn't know too much about it back then...now I do.

Now my question is, should I buy two 1.3 cables with all the sound equipment that I'm buying now to make sure I get correct video/audio pass through? If it matters my Blu-ray player is a PS3 and my receiver will be an Onkyo 605 (I know the PS3 can't bitstream).

Thanks,
-maley

I don't think Sony can even answer your question. You might look in to sending HDMI directly to your set and digital sound to your receiver. If that is no good for you then try the component video adaptor from Sony. It is supposed support 1080p.....

Unless there is something wrong with your current cable in terms of what you want to do with it, then no.
