I was planning on buying 2 of the OPPO HDMI (http://www.oppodigital.com/hm31/) switchers, but saw this and wondered if this is any good. Don't know which way to go.

It's better to buy the Octaviac. We have good experience in Sweden with this switch. And it is not recommended to make a serial connection with sevrel HDMI switches.

Well my Denon AVR988 only has 2 hdmi ins, so I was gonna put 1 oppo in each HDMi in. Is this recommended to solve my limited HDMi ins?

You have no other choice. So I would go with that solution. I have read that others to do the same solution and they did not have any problems.
