I was just wondering since I am getting alot of flack for my decision to drop my hc3100 projector in favor of the pioneer.

My reasoning is based on the picture quality of the pioneer is the best on the market, to reach a similar quality on a projector I would need to spend about 2k more.

I also got tired of watching and entertaining guests in dungeon, I would like a little bit of light, also changing bulbs every year and a half I got tired of it.

They think moving down from 100 to 60 inch screen to get a better picture is crazy, Im wondering what you guys think. Am I actually crazy for this.

No you are not insane. During the day you will get a more vibrant picture. Although you will miss the home theater like picture. To capture the experience one again, why don't you consider a pair of 58PH10UKA's? You should have the room. Just a thought rather than going with a single 60" display.
