I have a M-4000 P with version 2.2.7 A firmware and I am having a problem with connection over a network.
I am using a static Wired IP address
When I start the box it works and I can stream from and too box on the network but about 5 minutes in I can no long connect to the dvico.
I have ran a ping and pings fine for first 5 minutes and then pings stop. the lights on the NIC continue to flash but can't ping on connect in or out?

Any Ideas?

Incompatibility with the router...? Happen to have a d-link?
Try connecting the TViX to PC over cross cable and run test again. My bet is the link between router/switch and DViCo is lost. You can try DHCP for a change to see if it ;akes any difference (doubt it)

You failed to mention whether it worked before...

I had it connected via a linksys WRT54GP router. Now I have it connected to a netgear GB switch which has a BT Modem connected to the switch. I have tried both DHCP and Static. I have tried connecting Dvico next to router. Same result. I have tried changing Firmware to 2.2.0 same

This is my first time trying to get it work work on the network.

I am on another forum and someone told me to try a cross over cable direct to PC to eleminate the network and/or router. I haven't got one so I will try and get one and try. If you have any luck let me know
