I have been reading on the THX site about the baffle wall where the speakers are installed. I want to do something similar in my mini-theater...with an AT screen and a baffle wall housing the front 3 speakers.

I found a post where someone else was wanting to do this...but no information about how to do it...and what materials would be used etc.

Have any of you done such a baffle wall? And could you share your construction tips for it?

Thanks,

Ben

Don Kellog's has discussed doing it in his Purpleplex thread. Can't remember if he did it.

Also Basement Bob has played with this:

And from Bob's links:

excellent links!

Basement Bob did some great work there...I will probably imitate the rockwool touching the screen method as it scored 99% and I don't have a huge room, so every inch counts!

the other links don't seem to be for speaker enclosures...but of interest anyhow.

Thanks!

Ben

Yeah - I just knew a few people had kicked the idea around, but had just skimmed the links. Glad they were a help. Wish Bob would post around here more often. He really researches his topics.
