My friend sent me here and I LOVE the site!!

I have a 19' x 30' room with an additional 8x12 room attached. I think the 8x 12 will be my wet bar, however I am open to suggestions. I am planning on having a pool table and MAYBE an air hockey table as well. I just cannot come up with a design so I will post pics of what I have. Do not hold it against me if you are not a Bears fan, lol.

Here is my 8 x12 that will likely be the bar, is that too small for a theater room?

Here is the whole room

Would I need to close it off for a projector to work? I would love to have a 100" screen.

Thank you in advance.

So I basically am wondering:

1. Is an 8x12 room too small for a theater if it will be used for movies and video games, and 6 people tops in it?

2. Would I have to close the large room up in order to use a projector? (I know I wont get a 100" screen in the 8x12 room.

People make great use of smaller spaces, but my opinion is that 8x10 is too small for 6 people.

You don't have to close up rooms to make them good theaters. I have an "open plan" theater and could not be happier. There are really two issues with open theaters - sound and light. If you don't care about sound propagating into/out of your theater (or can control sound on the entire level), and you can control the incoming light, then you can make an open plan work.
