Just noticed a thin black line 2 3/8 inches up from the bottom(running horizontally) on my screen . It is eactly where the end on the black bar would be if you were watching a blue ray movie .Pannel is 13 months old no warranty . The line is a pixel wide ,but you can see it form 12 feet.:mad:

I think I have seen this and could be one of the boards. I would call Pioneer either way sometimes can still take care of you 800 421 1625. Good luck

Thank you Roman , I am getting a copy of the work history from January when they replaced the board due to it not turning on . They said if I fax them the work history and the invoice they will review it to see if they will allow service. The warranty ran out last month:(

Just to let everyone know Pioneer has authorized payment to fix the problem on my set .:) The tech will come out on May the 14th ( TV still works just has a thin black line across it) This is the same guy who replaced the power board and did a great job. I will keep you posted on the results.:)

Well it went into the shop last Friday and they could not fix the line:( , but Pioneer has approved to replace the pannel:) I am being told it will be a new pannel and they will replace the old ? Had 2225 hours on the old Pannel and a bad case or IR ( and 2 months out of warranty) I guess my IR issues will be gone too ;)So how is this done ? Do they take the electronics out of my old set and put it in the "new pannel " . Roman you were right , Pioneer is taking care of the problem .:D

Well I got my Pio back and it looks great. They replaced the pannel with a new one . I was able to see the old pannel and what was causing the thin black line and of course the IR is compleatly gone;)( no more 7 hours of the NFL draft) Since this pannel is brand new , I assume I should again go throught the break in proceedures? Any thoughts? 90% of my viewing going forward will be full screen and I will watch out for those "bright" logos.:) I will say I am very impressed with Pioneer Service .I have had 2 issues with this set , one happened during the waranty period and one 2 months after , each time I had no problems with PIONEER( the # Roman gave me helped due to it being out of waranty) I was faxed an approval for service and with in 2 weeks problem solved :D This included the replacement of the pannel . The authorized dealer here in town ( there is only one) has been great also.
