hello, I'm about to pull the plug on the 5100 unit, basically for lack of available 6500 here in Manila, Philippines. I've tons of downloaded mkv bluray and hddvd rips that i want to play. Currently, im using a mac mini, but i don't like the cumbersome idea of having to use a keyboard or mouse or boot on an OS just to access my HD movies. Another thing is, the DVI pales in comparison to an HDMI connection.

Having said this, is it worth it or ok to buy the 5100 for this purpose? Am i going to miss a lot without having HDMI version 1.3 on the 5100 as oppose to the 6500?
