Has anyone experienced this issue before?

Problem:

Randomly, when I boot up the Klegg Mediashare, the splash screen will display on the TV for a brief second then disappears. Then I would not be able to turn off the unit or using the remote or the power button on the unit itself. I notice there is only a "red lightbulb" indicator on the unit.

If I unplugg the power from the unit and reconnect it, it boots just fine, this time the "red lightbulb" indicator and 2 additional indicator are on and I can use the unit as normal.

I noticed that if I change the display setting to be component to 720p instead of 1080i this issue does not occur as often.

Any insight and assistance in this issue is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, I just purchased this product today.

After using it fine for 1hr, I experienced that exact same issue. The unit locked up.

The first time it happened. I heard a clunk like power to the hdd was disconnected.

For a hour after that, the machine wound boot up with the splash screen but not respond to the remote or buttons on the unit face.

I thought the unit went dead and pack it up. Later, I unpacked it and tried it with a USB flash. The unit allowed me to control it again. So I put the HDD back in and tried it testing it once more.

The MediaShare seems to be fine now; however, I'm a bit worried that it will crash again.

What are the symptoms? Do the LEDs light up at all? There is a firmware recovery procedure - but that is probably not the issue. I used firmware recovery once when I bricked my Klegg after trying a bunch of different firmwares. The procedure is complex, and requires setting up a server, with specific addresses, on your PC, and then pressing specific buttons on the Klegg as you power it up. I have the notes somewhere, and they may also be on this forum somewhere.
