Hey folks. I'm doing some design work, and have decided that in our next theater we want to work in some curves. Everything is normally flat and square, for the obvious acoustical reasons, so skipping that point for the moment...
What theaters have you seen that have had the best use of curves? Has it been limited to arches? Curious if you have seen anything that you might remember.
I already have some pretty good plans underway for the use of arches, so now I'm looking for more inspiration.
Thanks!

Marquee's and stages are usual suspects. Not that mine is the best, but it is mine - at least for another couple weeks.

Larry's Larrenberg theater has some interesting lines, not necessarily curved but a diversion from the normal:

If your looking for arches. Someone else on here used this company. They do premade arches.

I used both the "Arch-It" and "Easy Arch" products in my theater. The arch-it (heavy plastic) products was for the barrel arch above the theater and the easy arch (metal) was for the wall cut-ins and walk through arch. The arch portion of my thread starts here (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=13085687#post13085687). Pics below:

Still a work in progress. The arch above the theater will soon be painted like a dusky sky, edges covered with crown and then lit up with LED rope lighting. The other arches will be stoned on the edges.
Do all the arches help my accoustics, probably not. Was I concerned about my basement being boring, sure. Anyone can build a square/rectangle basement or theater room ;).

How about curved drywall and glass block at the entrance? Bullnose on all corners and round over on the baseboards.

I have always loved your enterance. If I was able to (read: allowed:D ) have a totally dedicated theater I was planning on doing something very similar to your set-up.
