Can someone please direct me to some device to convert HDMI w/ HDCP to component video? I have an older HDTV television with the R/G/B RCA plugs and a new DVD player with only HDMI output. Can someone help me? Thanks.

I can't believe that your DVD player doesn't have component video outputs. demonfoo 04-25-08, 07:11 PM Sorry, there isn't one; the terms of the HDMI license really don't allow such a thing (because things like the ICT and what not come into play, secure data path and blah blah blah). Stoofpilot 04-30-08, 08:45 AM I just bought a Pioneer 1150Hd and the manual talks about PIP and Twin Screen yet does not do a good job of explaining how to set it up. I have an HD cable box. Question: 1. Do I need to put a splitter before the cable box and then go in from the splitter to ANT 1 on the back of the TV? 2. Or can I come out of the cable box with two connectors-such as Component Video to an Input 1 port and a HDMI in to a Input 4 port. It sounds like I need two seperate sources for the PIP to work. Does anyone know the answer to this. Since you are using the tuner in the TV for ANT 1 you will not be able to get any encrypted channels on that input. Depending on your cable provider that may or may not be a problem. supertheman 05-01-08, 05:15 PM I just bought a Pioneer 1150Hd and the manual talks about PIP and Twin Screen yet does not do a good job of explaining how to set it up. PS I found my answer, there IS a solution, many are sold on eBay. A friend from work showed me his, working very well on his older HDTV. I bought the same model and it has already shipped.
