I have a question regarding placement of my rear surround sound speakers. I have two Klipsch RS-35's that I want to place on either side of my sliding glass door.

Would the window really compromise my sound quality?

Yes. But probably not enough to make any kind of deal out of it.

Wouldn't worry about it much in terms of placement of speakers, except that you can't mount to the door way! ;)

However, it certainly will negatively impact the sound in the room generally, but again, unless you're willing to ditch the glass door, or get very heavy drapes to cover it which defeats the purpose of having a glass door, we all have to compromise.
