What is the best method of pre-wiring for ceiling mounted front projector? I want a clean look for the wiring until I purchase the projector. Is using a standard wall plate for the video and control wires the best method?
Thanks!!

They make special plates for different cables such as an hdmi or you can buy one that has room to put a couple cables through.

You have several choices, the first one I posted is probably the cleanest looking but the least flexible since you only cable and if you wanted multiple connections running to your PJ would have to install multiple plates. By no means is that the only option for wall plate connections they do make dual and triple gang plates as well. The second option I have listed is what I personally see as the your best bet. You can run conduit to that so should you ever need to pull a new cable it is a heck of a lot easier. Hope this helps.
Well, you could go with something like this in your ceiling:

Or with something like this that includes power as well :

If you use the Chief mounts you can bring wiring down the center of the pole for a really clean install. Then you just need a hole in the ceiling and no plates

Here are some examples of what Big is referring to. I have a flush-mount without the extension pole, but same principle applies: the wiring runs down theu the mount itself-

You just have to be precise with where you place your location.

Here is what I was Talking about. And I don't want to hear from any of the Code Police or Wannabe insurance adjusters.

I have a drop ceiling, and I just ran them down through the support pole wrapped them in that spiraly cord wrap, and zip tied them to the projector.
My wife came down when I was done and said "hey thats not bad". Which is really good considering a mess of wires is her biggest pet peeves.
