I have only had this projector for about a week and it is my first pj. The picture is great when watching BD or HD DVDs. I have only adjusted the focus on this unit.

When playing video games it seems like there is a lot missing that I am used to from playing on my panny plasma. Its almost like its not in focus put the pixels are clearly visable and sharp.

Is there any fix for this or is it something that is a downfall with projectors or this unit.

The room is light controled and the throw is right at 13' on a 110 carada BW.
It is resting on a stand at about 6' high and lense shift is used downward about 30 of the 80% It is as close to perfect as can get on horizontal.

Any help, disc or calibration techniques would be greatly appreciated.

SORRY TO ALL BUT PLEASE KEEP ALL THE TERMS WITHIN EYE LEVEL. NEWBEE HERE WITH INTRO PROJECTOR NEEDING TO LEARN

Closest major city is Nashville TN if any calibration is to be done for this issue

Your projector displays frame one for a short time and then makes an almost immediate transitioin to the next frame. This causes the perception of blur in our brain.
The plasma works differently and does not cause this brain effect. This can be one explanation to what you experience.
A brighter picture also allows you to perceive more detail. Our eyes see more detail in higher brightness conditions.

yes I could agree with the term bluras being an issue.

Is there any way to get around this affect and effect?

Would calibration from pros help?

It also seems like the white is not as white as it should be.

So what videogames are you playing and on what system?

The blur spell can be broken by inserting short extra frames that are black. This is called black frame insertion and is a technology that is now being used in shipping products. The Sony vw200 uses this technology. I think you have the choice between black frame insertion and dark frame insertion.
The problem can certainly be sloved. With lcos systems used for simulation purposes they insert a mechanical device to chop up the pictures and eliminate blur. I guess it is smarter to go with the electronic fix.

Original 360 pro with components- Call of Duty 4, Baseball 2k, Tiger, and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2

PS3- Call of Duty 4 and Madden

Call of Duty looks the same on both systems pretty much but plays better on 360 or course.

Ok so could you elaborate on these fixes? Like I said earlier I have no clue about most of the technical stuff I read about on here. I try to learn but there is far more technical issues than one can grasp in such a short time with these units and addons.

What are my options? I like the way BD and HD is viewed. Dont notice this blur effect while watching them so how will it change the way they are viewed. I am assuming that it really wouldnt unless there was a sequence that would appear to have the blur effect.
