Just wondering if anyone has any final tweaks for me.

Goal: Build a decent sounding system for Blu-ray and games under $1k, pref. ~800 if possible.

Fronts: Polk R50
Center: Polk CSR
Rear: Polk R150
Sub: JBL Venue Sub12

All this I should be able to get @ $850 shipped.

sounds good. You can put that 150 you are saving coming in under budget and put it towards a better sub.

I'm still new to this, is there any difference between 12AWG and 14AWG? It's only $2 more.

depends on the distance. More than likely both will be fine. i recently changed from 16 to 12 gauge and I dont think I can tell a difference. But I sleep better at night now.
