How much juice does a Popcorm machine pull. I just got mine in the mail and hooked it up. I turn on the master switch and I hear a loud hum then Poof the breaker switch goes. The light bulb will not come on.

Think its a bad machine? Theater 4 Popcorn Machine-Anyone have one and have problems?

Well I just blew up my Kill-a-Watt meter. I plug it in and tunred the machine on and it fried that thing. I thought these pulled around 15 amps?

Is this a Paragon Theater Pop 4 ?
I have one. They are 1200 watts or about 10 amps. This is two-thirds the capacity of a normal household branch circuit. A load hum is not normal. I imagine a stuck motor in the top could cause that. Call Paragon, the 4 oz machine has a lifetime warranty.

No It is not a Paragon

MIne is a Paragon 8 oz and I thought it drew 1800 watts.
What else do you have on that same Line?

It has to be the motor or the wiring, THe Light bulb does not come on either.
