Guys,

I need a little advice here.

Here's what I got:

Dell Inspiron 6400 VGA Output (along with 1394 Firewire & usb connections) and a portable DVD player with a Composite Video connection.

I would like to be able to run both of these devices (laptop and portable dvd player) through a simple a/b switch that has one output to my 40" LCD HDTV. I only need the video portion. (I do not need the audio.)

I want to be able to switch between the laptop and a simple portable dvd player without changing the input settings on my TV.

Is this possible and how do i do it? Cables, Converter box, different portable DVD palyer....

Thanks for the help.
Rob

I forgot to mention, that the laptop has a s-video output as well. Could I just purchase a S-Video to composite cable and connect it to a simple composite a/b switch?

Or is there a better way to do this?
