Looking for an ace HT installer with serious chops to help me get my high end theater humming. I am on Long Island.

I realize there is a thread here on AVS with a listing of installers by area but I am looking for advice here, not a listing.

I have a ton of automation in the room, including D-Box furniture and a lot of equipment/remote programming. I need someone for a couple days of technical work and I will pay fair prevailing rate.

PM me to take it further. I am located in Suffolk, Long Island.

There are 83 CEDIA member companies that meet your criteria within 25 miles from your home. Trust CEDIA. They are the most knowledgeable and professional home theater technicians. http://www.cedia.net/

I would have to disagree with you in this case. I don't believe that obtaining CEDIA membership insures that you are a highly experienced and trained individual, nor is it a panacea for a well rounded pedigree in Home Theater. I can easily find 50 home theater companies within a short drive from my home. Half of them will have CEDIA training to some degree. Out of the 50 companies I expect that 3 of them (I'm being kind here) will be truly efficient, professional and experienced with very high end gear.

The majority of HT companies are in it to sell you an all-inclusive package with mid-line equipment or else they are ultra high end and they want nothing to do with a guy who just needs assistance for a couple of days.

I don't make these statements from inexperience. I've been around the block a few times and have a lot of personal experience with guys that claim to be Caesar and turn out to be Brutus.

What I need are personal recommendations from people that have had very good experiences with high end installers in the NY area.
