Looking for an ace HT installer with serious chops to help me get my high end theater humming. I am on Long Island.
I realize there is a thread here on AVS with a listing of installers by area but I am looking for advice here, not a listing.
I have a ton of automation in the room, including D-Box furniture and a lot of equipment/remote programming. I need someone for a couple days of technical work and I will pay fair prevailing rate.
PM me to take it further. I am located in Suffolk, Long Island.

Thanks for the tip but Theo Kalomirakis is not interested in helping out on a job with pre-existing equipment. Like most big league HT co's they are only interested in your business if you can give them a job where they design the room and sell you all of its contents. I have a pre-existing room with nearly all the necessary equipment in it.
What I need is an expert in Audio and automation and equipment programming that can help me to get my room humming. It is about a 2 day job.
Thanks,
Russ

Hello fellow Long Islander! I used AudioBreakthroughs in Manhasset for my HT equip/install. The guys there are great. I'd suggest asking for Mike and tell him Ben from Plainview recommended them. He will let you know if they can help out on your job thru the shop. If not, ask him if this is something James can help with (he is my future bro-in-law) on the side - he is one of their programmers.
BTW: where are you located? Good Luck!

Rungriot, I am located in Port Jefferson.
I would be interested in talking to James if you can give me his number privately please. I don't want to go through the shop if possible which I will be happy to explain (also privately).
Anyone else have a suggestion for a top notch hired gun?
Thanks all,
Russ

Try Bri-tech Had a Friend who used them they were very helpful and did a exceptional job. He look around and when people heard he wanted to do some of the work himself these were one of the few companies that said OK.

I am curious how this worked out for you? I have very little of the equipment needed so most HT guys would be happy for my job. However, I do not want a company that will ONLY do work if they sell you equipment. I want some one who is in the business because their SERVICE is top notch, and they make their money on the quality of their expertise, not by selling you one of the 4-or-5 systems they are familiar with. I have had a few recommendations from people I know, the Bri-Tech company has come up more than a few times. So finally back to this thread, who did you end up using? How was your experience?

Rungriot: heard that Joel of Audiobreakthroughs passed away in December.I will miss him, a great person.. I would stop by just to talk to him and have a cup of coffee. He always had time to talk to you and give you the best advice. Bought all my stuff there on his recommendations... he will be missed:(
