My family recently updated from an older Marantz projector to a new Optoma HD70. We have our whole theater setup, complete with a mount. You will have to forgive my lack of terminology, I'm not such a huge AV geek :p

Here is the part that is in the ceiling:

Here is the bottom of the new projector... clearly that piece wont fit onto the new projector:

What can I do to connect my HD70 to the part I have in the ceiling? I want it to be as cheap as possible, and I am willing to build my own and take a trip to Home Depot.

Please give me a step by step explanation if possible, or if you know something I could just buy, that would be awesome

I did my last mount about as cheap and easy as it can be done..

I droped a shelf from plant hooks, you know the type with wings. I used basic chains.
