Now I have several analog TVs that have Comcast cable wire plugged directly into the TV, no box. They work fine now using the TVs tuner. After the Feb 2009 switch will I need one of these D to A converter boxes? Is Comcast still going to pipe an analog signal thru the cable line to my TVs? Comcast wants to rent boxes so I am concerned. I don't want to rent boxes from Comcast for every TV. I already have 2 boxes for my good newer TVs. I have read the gov website and it addresses but does not answer this question saying it will vary from cable company to company. THanks

The 2/2009 date refers to Off-Air, not cable or satellite. Analog on cable will most likely be around for awhile. Cable companies will notify their subscribers prior as needed.

I would contact your local Comcast and try to get an answer because it will vary from cable company to company as stated on the gov website.
