all i can say is wow wow wow...i just hope my Benq W9000 can perform as well or maybe even better. at 110" i could not even see the screen door at all unless i went RIGHT up to the screen. just amazing!!! this was my 2nd choice...hopefully i didn't make a mistake with the W9000...cause if i am not happy i'll sell that and get the HC5000BL...what a picture in blue ray!!! WOOT!

How many 1080p projectors have you seen?
Most can meet or beat the HC5000 on PQ. The HC5000 I had was ultra sharp you could see the pixel structure from pretty far away unless you defocused a tad.

i have only seen a couple, and i hated all the panasonic ones i have seen due to their "SDE softening" technique which blurs the picture to not even tolerable standards. i dunno...i sure hope my W9000 is as good or better than the hc5000bl...(do you think it will be better?)
as for SDE on the hc5000bl i could not see it at all unless i got right up to the screen...but maybe that's just me.

I swaped my HC5000 for a Panasonic AE1000U, I had them both in the theater at the same time. I also had a Sony VW50 and an Optoma HD80 all four at the same time.
For me, I am postive I made the right choice. I wish you luck as well.
I am defiently not a fan of ultra sharp projectors, they just come off so cold and digital to me.
So you get a wide range of preferences on these things from person to person.

Looking good. I'd assume this means you are satisfied with it?
How do you think it compares to the HC5000 you were able to see?

i would say the Benq W9000 is quite a bit brighter than the HC5000bl...especially since i do not have a completely light controlled viewing room. the room in the store was completely blacked out..but i'd love to do a side by side comparison.
