Hi,
I'm not a pro, therefore my question might seem odd to some, but I'm experiencing problems with my HDMI connection. In my room, I have my Sony Bravia LCD connected to a cheap Digitus HDMI switch (50 euro) with a cheap (25 euro) 10m Digitus HDMI cable. To this switch I have connected my PC via 5m DVI cable + DVI->HDMI adapter and it works perfectly. However, nothing else (PS3 or cam) is working if I connect it to the switch. The PC even works if I connect the 5m DVI cable to the 10m HDMI cable via adapters (without the switch), but the PS3 is not working even if I connect it right to the 10m HDMI cable without the switch. If I use a shorter (also cheap) cable, it works. I assume the signal from the PC is stronger than from other devices. I don't have money to buy expensive cables, but there are cheap (30 - 50 eur) HDMI signal amplifiers aviable. Would it help to sort out my issue? Also, where would you suggest to put the amplifier?
I'm avare that it would be possible to connect the switch with a short cable with the LCD and than use the long 10m cable only for PC, but it would be hard to do it considering my current cable management.
Thanks
EDIT: also the switch is not a problem, as it works if shorter cable is used.
