The set's a Samsung TXN3245FP, about 4.5 years old. Luminance is mostly okay. Chrominance has a major problem, putting a regular pattern on everything. Excuse the poor photo.

If you cannot fix it yourself you are probably looking at a average of $200-300 to repair. It would probably cost you $75 just to get an estimate on the repair which would usually be credited to your repair if you went ahead with it. I am too lazy to google your model to see its capabilities but unless it was a high-end set in its time, and even then, it is probably easier to just buy a used replacement on craigslist. There are plenty of newer high end sets for sale in most cities. I just got a a really nice 3 year old Sony 30" HDTV widscreen CRT in mint condition for $225. If I was a little more patient, I could have probably even done a little better than that. Good SD sets go for considerably less than that.

Honestly no, you might want to do some google searches on your model number with keywords like problem, repair, etc., and see if anything turns up. Maybe somebody will post here but this isn't necessarily the best site for repiar info. It is extermely hard to diagnoise anything over the internet unless it is a common well documented failure.
