Hi all,

i just got this set last night, and WOW!!!! I'm upgrading from a Mits HD48511, and man the diference is sweet.

a coupld of points, I noticed that when the screen is bright i see a small dark spot which look like something behind the screen? I'm worried because my old Mits was replaced 3 time for it having floaters in the coolant for the lenses, that was projecting spots all over the screen.

Also any idead why the fiber optic from the tv only outputs 2 ch audio? I had it hooked up so that my cable box, xbox 360 and ps3 all used the one optical out from tv so i dont have to change the receiver input. but the dook says if i want 5.1 sound i have to use all separate cables. thanks in advance!

Tony

Better asking in here - the official owners thread:

NEVERMIND - looks like you already figured that out.

Sounds like it might be similar to one of the issues I had with my first 5687 set - do a search for posts by my username and hopefully that will help give you some clues (the short story is that I ended up returning mine because it was a screen defect, and the replacement is perfect :))
