After the credits.

Choose the credits chapter then FF one chapter.

That's where all the "special" features are.

IronMan trailer, a Transformers trailer and some cheesy montage I think of Transformers.

So how come most of you don’t even take an SPL db meter when going to the cinema then hmmm, hmmm, hmmm, answer that question. I take my SPL db meter with because this is first place where its going to heard and felt. When I monitored the SPL previously with Transformers at the Empire Leicester Square screen 1 last year July 26th it peaked on 120dbc in the HUGE 1130 seat auditorium.

And again with The Spy Who Loved Me last April 20th again it peaked at 120dbc I also tried out Leatherheads at the Odeon Leicester Square screen 6 and it only managed 108dbc somewhere around that range anyway I was totally knackered by the end of the day.

So don’t think about it okay, stuff the wife and girlfriend your on mission and I want to see pictures with digital camera no jerking around pictures and SPL db readings.

I hardly doubt that I’ve been doing this for donkey years now before AVS was even around, been doing it since 1997.

I for the life of me cannot find where I got this (if I do I'll post the link), but I have a sound meter app for my PPC sprint phone :). It's nothin fancy but will get in the ballpark!

Thank you, treat this like an Apollo moon landing :D a one off and then use those findings for when it comes out on DVD or Bluray as well as making notes how did it feel where did you feel the low end most and most importantly the cinema, pictures all around, that’s my goal that’s my mission when attending.

Does the cinema have rocker seating and did it make you jolt back in the seat with slam types of low end, one thing it’s very difficult to tell if the low end is coming from the screen LCR or LFE.1 in some cinemas. What I mean is some of the low end may appear to be LFE.1 when in fact it might be coming from the centre channel.

What I noticed with Transformers last year was fair bit of jolt that knocked me back in the rocker, some was kick and some was slam while most other effects had deep pressure pressing on my body in waves, particularly on the opening as the osprey. It wasn’t too long before it came out on DVD and therefore I could still remember the deep tone and after looking at the huge SPL db levels it was more than satisfying to last a few years.

Mostly down at 40Hz peak when the osprey first appears with shadow over the desert then changes pitch in sound as it appears in fall.

The Incredible Hulk is coming soon, too, FYI. Interestingly, Robert Downey Jr. will be playing Tony Stark in it.

I thought Iron Man was pretty entertaining. I was impressed that they actually stuck to the storyline of his origin pretty faithfully (considering it had to be updated for 2008).

YEP Iron Man was a huge pants flapper! Felt awesome to finally catch a summer action flick in a top of the line NEW theater!

forgot what part it was but I literally heard metal shaking from one bassified sequence during Iron Man..wish I could recall what part it was (NOT the explosive climax)!

I loved Batman Begins but the Dark Knight has it's work cut out for it if it's going to be the summer BO king this year!

IM is nearly a perfect flick!

THe trailer DOES NOt come anywhere close to having the best bass from the movie...the early battle outside the cave and the climax both had much better bass than any of the trailer sequnces.
The brand new Dark Knight trailer has some serious bass sweeps! Can't wait for July....

One pants flapping good 2 hour thrill ride !LMOST AS WELL CAST AS bATMAN bEGINS!!

You’ve neglected to say which cinema whether it has THX what sound format it was playing back in and you’ve forgotten to take the SPL db meter and digital pictures of the cinema after the films finished.

So go back and get some SPL readings come on get to it chop, chop now.:D

Warren Theater in Moore,Oklahoma..opened 1 month ago. Only theater on the planet that's 100% digital, w/all THX screens. (http://www.warrentheatres.com/Moore.pdf)

I've yet to purchase a spl meter...sorry.

Downside to the Grande is that the floor is sloped and not setup `stadium style' like the other 14 screens. So your under the screen unless your in the balconies... Nothing wrong with being under an 80' wide screen mind u!

We arrived an hour and a half b4 the first showtime (noon) to guarantee ourselves the first spot in line and first pick on the seats. Blows away all other area theaters by a mile. It's double the drive (12 miles vs. 25+) of the Harkins' theater but WELL worth the THX upgrade (food is SOLID as well!)

Great movie! Unfortunatly I think the sub cut out about 15-20 minutes into the movie (switching to the cave scenes). There was audible buzzing for a few minutes then it stopped. I could still tell there were some heavy scenes in it! Can't wait to try it at home on the IB!!

A couple more good movies to check out for some sweet bass, The Orphange and The Mist. I have a dual 15" IB and The Mist literally had my wife in tears, I had to drop volume for a while, she could not handle it. The Orphange is just an all around good sounding movie, but, it has some pretty low stuff. I have no idea how low, but, I have a rattle in the back of my room when it drops below 25hz... that much I do know.

I remember the scene I was being rumbled about in. It was when he was walking out of the Cave into the sunlight, in the Iron Man 1.0 suite, the footsteps just shook the chairs! Then he started in with the battle....GREAT GREAT Movie....probably the best Superhero movie I've seen! Great music too.

Yes, that scene definately warmed up the theater with bass..there were plenty of other scenes..I'd give myself a major headache placing them all.

NOT sure why but the Jericho demo scene (which was in the trailer) didn't do much at all in the theater..strange.

Saw this movie last night in a DLP theater....Sound was HORRIBLE.

I was so pissed. Looks like I'll be waiting for this on BluRay to see what it really has!

Why can't I find a great theater in Cleveland that has both Picture and Sound!

you mean if trailer is bass light, that means the film is too...well we soon see what is the deal and yes ironman was bassy, the scene where ironman fly to afghanistan and breaks sonic barrier its go down to 10hz region.
