My receiver and my subwoofer allow me to set the crossover freq. What is the ideal setting in this case? I can set the receiver between 40-200 and the woofer 50-200. I have small speakers....and should my woofer 'phase' be set to normal or reverse?

use the rcvr xover (and, if you don't have an 'LFE in' along with an RCA in, just put the sub xover to the max -- the rcvr will be doing the work in that case)

size of the spkrs has nothing to do with the phase of the sub

One more question, my sw has an RCA input and speaker jacks for the front speakers (in/out). Is it better to use the RCA in or is it better to route the front speakers through the sw?
