Hi

I have simple dilemna. I have my optical connectoin coming from my tv to my receiver which works fine. However, I would also like this feed to also go into my optical-in connectin on my sound card in my htpc. I want to be able to record sound from my tv on my htpc. Unfortunately my tv only has one digital output.

Is there some kind of splitter for optical connections??

Is this the best way to accomplish my objectives??

THIS (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10423&cs_id=1042301&p_id=966&seq=1&format=2) may work satisfactorily.

Hell, the switch is less than 2 bucks more than the splitter. The splitter will allow you to send the signal to both devices simultaneously. Looks like the switch will NOT.
