I have an SV Sub, it's one of the original cylinder models (20-39XX or something to that effect). It's a powered version, hooked up directly to an Anthem AVM30. Beginning a month or so ago, I've been noticing an annoying "popping" type sound that seems to randomly come on. I can't say that it happens during an intense low - it really does seem to be completely random and might happen once or twice during a movie, which makes me think it's not bottoming out. It's not a really loud pop that makes me jump out of my seat, it's a bit more subtle and more of a nuisance than anything. I really have no idea what could be causing it, and I'm not even sure if the sub is the culprit, or the pre/pro? Could it be the sub is turning off for some reason and that popping is it turning back on? I have the sub calibrated and I seem to remember upgrading the driver at some point years ago.
