Just popped in Dogma and got to wondering when I saw the Buddy Jesus logo come up in the XMB. Do any other studios have discs with these little graphics that show up on the PS3? Do standalones show these as well?

There are several....mostly just those made by Sony pictures or one of the related studios.

Sony started putting these on all of their BDs last year. I hear Disney did a couple too. As far as I know, stand-alones don't show them.

So far I have seen Spidey 3 & Geisha from my collection.

these are the only ones from my collection that i remember seeing anything but the boring generic disc icon

AC/CD concert has it as well plus Zorro.

In the non-Sony releases, Enchanted had an icon as well I believe (that'd be Disney/BVHE for folks playing at home).

I wish those were animated like video previews instead of still pictures.

Several foreign Sony titles have it as well, including the UK Blu-rays for "The Tudors" and "Almost Famous: Bootleg Cut".

I've noticed these on many Sony titles as well. Just recently saw it again on Ghost Rider and Bram Stoker's Dracula.

I've noticed this on quite a few discs with my PS3, but I wonder if they're the "jackets" that are visible when the screensaver is set to jacket mode on a standalone (or even PS3?).

I don't see any option for jacket screensaver on the PS3. Are there standalones that display jacket screensavers on Blu-rays? I thought only very few DVDs had them, in the form of the JACKET_P folder.

I see that the icons used on the PS3 for Dogma are just a "small" and "large" JPEG stored in BDMV\META\DL, with a simple bdmt_eng.XML file giving the title that the PS3 shows and some other info like the language.

i wonder if these movies which not only have the image but include title info in the XMB show up with the title in the status when someone selects you in their PSN friends list... it shows game titles so i'd assume they would be able to have it say "Watching Dogma"
