i just learnt there is another way of getting rod of letterbox is with a aspherical lens.I also heard it's best suited for a 16x9 screen.Now is all of this true? Are there certain projectror that can have an aspherical lens or have one already on them? i have the JVC RS1 but i doubt that can have one.

Yeah there are some different lenses that can be used with your RS1. The current favored ones are horizontal expansion lenses. You would also need a video processor (and possible a different screen) to take advantage of the full effect.

It is really cool when it is setup properly. It takes some effort to set it up properly.
