View Full Version : HC3000U for $848 HC1500 for $750 pgm10s 05-03-08, 11:55 AM As i know the spec sheet and some reviews of HD3000U is better than Hc1500 but many guys in this forum are alking about HC1500. It is my understanding that the 3000 has very good color reproduction even with basic calibration, but the 1500 is brighter and better suited to areas where light control isn't perfect DaGamePimp 05-03-08, 01:33 PM The 1500 is brighter and that's about it , the 3000 will best the 1500 on just about every other level . If you can get an HC3000 for $848 then you will have a hard time finding anything else out there for $850 or less that can beat it . Now if you can spend a bit more $1000 + then you can improve on the HC3000 with the likes of an InFocus 7210 or Samsung 710 (if you can find one of these , they are out there but getting harder to find) . -- Jason Jedirun 05-04-08, 12:56 AM If you can control the light I would go with the HC3000. I just got one and with the iris closed the black levels are much better than my friends HC1500. The picture is really amazing after very little tweaking. I am using mine in a completely darkened room on a diy 94" white screen with both SD and HD content. It is plenty bright for that, but I do not know how well it would do if there was ambient light to deal with. pgm10s 05-04-08, 09:17 AM Thank you for every comment. I think i will get the HC3000 jsegura3 05-05-08, 11:30 AM Thank you for every comment. I think i will get the HC3000 Good choice if you got light control. Choose a white screen not a gray one BTW. pgm10s 05-05-08, 10:13 PM :d monakh 05-10-08, 02:47 PM I was comparing these two, just this morning...hmmm... |
