Kal Rubinson 05-04-08, 09:40 PM Gee whiz. Wouldn't the manual say so? notoriousmatty 05-04-08, 09:42 PM I dont know its easier to post. anyway someone with a meaningful answer ? Kal Rubinson 05-04-08, 10:45 PM I dont know its easier to post. Exactly. JBLsound4645 05-05-08, 09:12 AM Sigh read the owners manual that’s what it was deigned for. "Meaningful"? Ok, here's the most meaningful answer to your question that I could come up with: Quit being so lazy and read the damn manual. Kal Rubinson 05-05-08, 04:56 PM How about a meaningful question? How can you think anyone will be able to answer your post if you do not even say which model Yamaha you are talking about? Or does that also take too much effort? goneten 05-05-08, 05:34 PM Heavens to betsy. . . --Regards, JBLsound4645 05-05-08, 06:02 PM "Meaningful"? Ok, here's the most meaningful answer to your question that I could come up with: Quit being so lazy and read the damn manual. That’s why it’s called the owners manual for the individual owner who is too idle to read a few pages. I usually let the reaceiver the run auto calibration and I then check the levels and make any adjustments with my spl meter. So, I say do both. johnk7864 05-29-08, 11:24 PM Tekademic, You did both? what differences did you find? How did the MIC do setting sub levels compared to the SPL measurements? teckademic 05-30-08, 01:46 AM Tekademic, You did both? what differences did you find? How did the MIC do setting sub levels compared to the SPL measurements? there was no difference other than the spl level. For some reason, my onkyo 805 sets all levels to 70db as reference, but I do the final adjustment to 75db for all channels. The only difference in volume level is being that I don't have to raise the volume as high when calibrated to 75db. teckademic 05-30-08, 01:49 AM My yamaha receiver came with an optimizer mic that seems to have the same function as the SPL meter, is this correct or false? my past experience with Yamaha auto cal was that it was not too acurate as there would normally be a difference of 1 or 2db between channels. I always double check anyway. |
