I'd like to create a macro for watching a DVD on the PS3 that would turn the equipment on, wait a few seconds, and then start an intro video ("And now for the Feature Presentation"-type thing) before starting the DVD or Blu-Ray.
Obviously, the brute force method would be to put a separate DVD in first, play it, take it out, put the real disc in that I want to play, etc. But that's so inelegant.
And obviously this would be easier with an HTPC, but I don't have one, nor do I want one (this hobby already takes a lot of time!).
Does anyone have any ideas of how I could either use a video file already stored on the PS3, and automatically start it, and then play the disc, or pull it from somewhere else (i.e. a DLNA server somewhere) and play it? Again, the key is to be automatic, at least from the viewers' perspective.
Thansk so much in advance!
