Please move this CECB thread to the new CECB subforum.

I suggest using the "report post" button instead. It's the little triangular icon at the bottom left of each post. It gives you a message window for private comments to the moderators.

Earlier tonight I made a list of URLs for the CECB-related threads that were on the first two pages of this forum at that time, and pasted them all into a "report" on the first post of the first such thread.

seatacboy has at least brought it to the attention of others that we need to move CECB related to the Sub-Forum

I have "reported post" this morning on most of the threads on the first and second pages that have been active during the last week or have large post counts that concern CECB issues.

I think I got most of the ones seatacboy posted in.

The "report post" button places its reports in a hidden forum that only the moderators (all the moderators) have access to. So it's more efficient to use that, rather than send PMs to individual moderators.

I'm a moderator on another vBulletin-based forum, and on that forum, these reports are normally acted on fairly quickly. But we do have to give priority to spam and stuff like that.

When was the new CECB forum created, anyway? I first noticed it on Saturday, I think, but I might have overlooked it for a while.

I think we need a "READ BEFORE POSTING" sticky with all the pertinent CECB info so as to avoid all the repeat newbie threads on how bad all the boxes are, questions about QAM, Digital Outputs, S-Video, etc..

Not that it would do any good for some..:rolleyes: All those posts are really cluttering the forum up.

Remember the more frustrated the average veiwer is with the operation of some of these boxes the less people who will be watching local stations after 2/09.

I guess you must not care about low rent viewers using malfunctioning CECBs to view your signal. They are probably of very little use, as far as, numbers go to a station like yours.

NO, I just don;t think we need a new thread every 5 minutes from the latest newbie who's too lazy to read..There are enough existing threads by those who expect a $50-ish box to be the answer to all their wants and needs. :rolleyes:
