Hello,
I am new to this and have been trying to get a handle on all the different methods to record video from your PS3 (while playing).
It is my understanding there are many 'cheap' products that will capture SD 480i and under such as Dazzle, EasyCap, and HAVA Titanium/Planinum HD. I have also found that there are higher end products such as BlackMagic Intensity Pro, AVS PYRO, and the new Hauppauge HD PVR that can capture 720p and above.
The price of the HAVA Platinum HD (which will capture 480i) is around $130. The price of the BlackMagic, Hauppauge etc are around $250+ and typically require some additional PC requirements.
I have a few friends that use a PC capture card for an HTPC and say it will capture/record HD. These run right around $100 from what I can tell.
1. Am I correct in assuming these ~$100 PC capture cards DO NOT work for my needs because I want to play as I record?
2. Is there any recording solution, lets say for 720p, but in between the prices of $130 and $250?
Thank you!
