Would the Panasonic 2000U be brighter than the JVC RS1?
I am going to buy one of these, but I will have "some" ambient light. Want to know which is actually brighter?

Thanks, I've actually had the 2000U for a few weeks but had to take it back because I got a bad one. Now I'm debating whether to get another or shoot for the RS1.

The RS1 is very bright. I can't think of anything in that price range that has a better picture plus all that brightness.

Now if you want really good at really bright, SIM2 3 chippers can handle that. At a price.

The JVC is very bright (comparatively) in its best modes. Something like the Panny or Epson will be bright in their brightest modes, but will look much worse.
