ok. anyone have one of these that could help me with the settings? also, should overscan be set to 100%? it was defaulted at 93 for some reason. 100 gives 1:1 pixels at 1080i/p right? any help with the settings would be greatly appreciated!!
on a side note..i can't believe how short the throw is on this thing. i had to move it up like 5 feet from where my hd1000u was. ah well...also i can't believe how BIG this sucker is!!! i mean, looks great and good build quality, but damn what a difference from the hd1000u!!!
pictures to follow soon!

well here are a few pictures. the first thing i noticed is the HUGE improvement in black levels, and in colour saturation of the Benq W9000 over the Mitsubishi HD1000U. The next thing i have noticed is the lessened SDE due to 30% more mirrors and that they are smaller. The picture is VERY VERY sharp and crisp (although you might not be able to tell in the pictures since my hand is not very steady..i need a tripod for sure LOL)
I am going to get a PS3 tomorrow i think and try out some 1080p blue ray movies. these shots are from a Pioneer DV400K 1080p upconversion dvd player but they look pretty good in my opinion. i just need some help with the settings now for better colour management etc.
these pictures are in LOW light mode (200watts bulb setting)

Good job and congrats!
No worries on the images, you really need a tripod to take the pics so considering you are doing it without one then I say they came out very nice. :)

thanks....it's so hard to hold the camera completely steady..ah well i'm pretty happy with this projector. i know you can't really tell from the pictures, but would you say these images are good? for 480p upconverted to 1080p that is? can i expect a LOT more outta a blue ray movie compared to these?

Its a bit hard to tell of course but the color on the picture looks pretty close to my own picture in the Screenshots thread.
The difference will be stunning when you get a 1080p source trust me on that one. :-)
