It needs an adapter to hook up, but yes it is.

Sony makes an official one but there are 3rd party ones as well.

I have one, but I use it to plug in the PS2 IR receiver to use my Harmony.

So it looks like a PS2 to USB connector? I have one of those I use for the PC.. but how would it work is there is no PS button on the Dual Shock 2??

The one I got was a pelican adapter and it had a PS button. I don't think it'll sink without it, unsure though.

Hmm I have a SOYO KIKI-X Joystick converter. Works good for using PS2 controllers on PC.. but I dont htink it will work on PS3 because of lack of PS button.
