does anyone know what would be better for playing the PS3 games & Bluray on my Sony 34XBR800 CRT? (which is HDCP)

I'm using component now. It looks great but i'm curious if the DVI would look a little sharper.

From what understand DVI can only do RGB. What the difference than using component with Yb/Cr/Pb which is better? Has anyone done a comparison?

I also a similar 30" Sony CRT HD set, I can at least confirm that a HDMI to DVI cable works fine with my PS3. I doubt there would be a noticeable improvement over component cables. I might be wrong about this but I don't think the PS3 will even output 1080i over component for bluray or dvd playback, games yes.

The decision is easy: HDMI to DVI. Why? Because upconversion for DVDs is only done over HDMI, not component.

I had a Sony CRT HDTV. The only problem with this is the color settings were global on my set, and not unique to the input.

Basically, I could calibrate it for Component OR DVI, but not both.
