Ever since I upgraded to the latest FW I keep getting these PSN errors. If it does sign me in, it signs me out after a few minutes. It sometimes gives me DNS errors, or other times it just signs me out without assigning a reason.

I know my network is fine because (a) I didn't change the config after the FW upgrade, and (b) I don't have any issues continuing the downloads already in my queue.

I run the Internet connection test in the Setup and it shows that my Internet connection was successful but for the PSN it shows me a timeout.

Can anyone help me isolate the issue? Thanks.

I get signed out if i have UPnP enabled after FW 2.20...

so i turned it off.

Have you tried resetting your modem and router?

I had the same experience for a while...but I think resetting the router and modem helped.

I have a complicated network ( 3 routers, 2 DSL connections, 2 gateways and everything connected to each other) but it never gave me a problem before the upgrade. I will still try both resetting the router and toggling the uPnp on and off.

I was not able to get into the store after the last update, kept getting 'connection timed out'. I found this online and it worked for me.



We've all seen the "Connection Timed Out" threads, well heres the fix.

--Account Management
--Change Sign--In ID (E-Mail address)
--Enter password

Now what you want to do is enter a random email (or the original)... or spell yours incorrectly, I did by mistake
Follow the first three steps again and re-enter your "Original" login info.

I have been getting the same problem. Just randomly get signed out after 2.30. Last time was last night. Just playing HVB and a WARNING! YOU HAVE BEEN SIGNED OUT OF THE PSN! Hopefully they make a new fw before 2.40 and fix this problem.

Why do I have to turn something off, when I used to get both to work fine?

i got this for the first time last night also. I checked my Modem/router (e2wire) and it was fine, i can reset if i need too but i dont think it is on my end. But should i reset my router just in case? I NEVER have any internet dropouts on my other devices that are using it. Or is it everyone's opinion that it is a firmware or PSN issue?
