I just wanted to point folks here towards another company that does custom home theater intros. From reading this board, it seems people know about Custom Intros (Bitstream) (http://www.customintros.com/), and maybe Cinemawise (http://www.cinemawise.com/).
But now we have Digital Forge (http://www.digitalforge.com/store_show_trailers.php) who is making 1080P MPEG2 versions of their trailers available by special request.
A few years back, I bought their DVD versions of three of their trailers, and liked them all. Great multichannel audio/sound and appropriate imagery/story for a pre-movie trailer.
The reason I say "by special request" above is two fold. One is that they are in the process of re-creating their trailers for more visual impact when shown in HD. This goes beyond just re-rendering at higher resolution. They are adding more high resolution visuals and details into the trailers so that they will truly look impressive. But they aren't done that process yet and won't get there with all their trailers until sometime in 2009. But if like me you are desperate, they can do a high resolution rendering on what they have now and sell it to you.
The other problem is that they can only deliver the HD MPEG2 + sound as data files on a DVD. Only useful for those with HTPCs (and Kaleidescapes).
Oh, and they cost more than the competition.
But since I haven't seen their name here mentioned, thought I'd make people aware.
