Well I bought a hp remote and reciever off of ebay. Now when I plug in the reciever it installs the ehome driver but I thought that that is all I have to do? I open media center and the remote is showing in the reciever (light) but not action though VMC. I am running vista and check for updated drivers (there were none). Am I doing something wrong? Sorry if this is a n00b question

Anyone? Maybe I have a faulty reciever and remote?

Well it looks like the remote included from ebay (hp laptop remote) isnt compatible with the reciever. I used my harmony remote and all is working great

Im trying to use my new Harmony One with a "generic IR receiver". I used this receiver for PowerPoint presentations, it has a little remote with only two buttons (up and down). It even works in the VMC to roll up and down. I can learn these two functions on my harmony, and works just like the original.
The point is: it seems that windows is receiving IR comands through this receiver, bot will i be able to comand my vmc with my harmony and this receiver? Is there a plugin i need? What is this eHome?

Tks for any help.
