Hi Guys,
I have a stereo setup in my bedroom which I love a lot and I do not have the spare room or space to setup a multichannel setup right now or even in the next couple of years.
The result:
I watch dvds in stereo. They are mostly live concert dvds and some movies. I am looking at the DV89 from Cambridge audio. But it seems that it does not decode DTS to PCM Stereo.
1. Which DVD players under 300$ docode DTS and Dolby digital to Pcm stereo ? I am looking at Denon, CA, Pioneer, Marantz, Oppo etc…
2. Is this much of a problem ? I have seen that most movies with DTS also have Dolby digital also with it.
3. I need upscaling to 1080i also.
Note: Good picture quality on a 37 inch Panasonic PV80 plasma and sound quality is important. Not very particular about dvd-audio, sacd etc….
