It’s one half of a DVD.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT '0.6mm Disk'
0.6mm Thick Optical Disc does not use DVD Format in a proper manner. It is only imperfectly and inappropriately using the Format. The DVD Forum judged that such a Disc is not compliant with the DVD Specifications.

Weren't the ECO discs what Disney tried using a few years back? You buy it, it works for a few days then throw it out. 100% recyclable.

Funny, did they ever discuss the failing of HD DVD. Also what is the point of continuing with the China HD DVD since it was largely based on Toshiba's system.

It is like they were totally in the dark about Toshiba closing shop. No coincidence that Sony voted no and the other BD companies abstained on CH HD DVD votes.

China wants their own HDM format. It is based on HD DVD as far as the manufacturing process (read: cheap) but it uses their own compression system . . . AVS.

They licensed the technology of HD DVD from the DVD Forum so that they can offer the Chinese people a "home grown" HD optical format.

The DVD Forum will receive royalties from CH-DVD.
