What are all the possible in production display flaws, which technology suffers it worst and which technology solves it best.
Remember: No one sees all of these flaws. Many people cannot see Motion Blur, while others hate it. The disparity of DLP rainbow witnesses is well commented. Even the mighty plasma has a few people who get headaches from phosphor lag. So please play nice and respect each others pet peeves.
Flaw: Motion Blur
Worst: LCD, 120Hz Frame Prediction
Best: Strobed LED backlit LCD and everything else not LCD
Flaw: 24p Jidder
Worst: 3:2 pulldown, 120Hz Frame Rate Conversion/Frame Prediction
Best: 72Hz, 48Hz, 120Hz Black Frame Insertion
Flaw: Dark Detail
Worst: LCD
Best: Plasma, CRT
Flaw: Low Contrast
Worst: LCD
Best: Plasma, CRT
Flaw: Rainbow
Worst: DLP
Best: Everything else
Flaw: Phosphor delay (Green Fringe)
