where the red question mark is i will stick a splitter (the one below)

then from their i use a regular HDMI wire for my TV and a HDMI-->DVI wire for my monitor (the one below)

both my TV and my monitor are HDCP compliant and accept a 1080p signal...so everything seems right but can anyone see an issue?

That looks good to me, esp. the diagram, that is my favorite part.

Seriously though everything should work fine.
If you have problems power on both monitors then the splitter then the ps3.

sounds good, the shipping was a bit much but it'll be worth it when it arrives :P

HDMI->DVI for the monitor is no problem wrt cable and connection, but you could have a problem with EDID. I don't know how splitters deal with that when you have 2 different target types. You'll have to sent RGB from the PS3.
