I haven't been able to find anything on this topic, so forgive me if it's out there and escaped my view. I have the Sanyo Xacti HD1000 camcorder, which records on SDHC cards. I also have the Panasonic HD camcorder, which also records on the same cards. My new Panasonic blu-ray player has an SD card slot, so that I can play photos and videos shot on my camcorder.

The Xacti-shot cards will play the stills (JPEGS, of course, same as all the still cameras), but not the video that plays so well from the Panny camera.

Is there a way to transfer the Sanyo-shot video to be able to play back through the Panasonic blu-ray player?

Many thanks in advance.

If I were you I would make sure the extensions are in the .mp4 container and then I would put the HD1000 video files within the same folder that has the videos of the Panasonic HD camcorder. You’re basically transferring the videos from one card to another.
I have no idea if that’ll work by the way but it’s worth a try.

If only you’re average standalone Blu-Ray player is as convenient as a PS3.

AVCHD is a collection of AVC files in a VERY SPECIFIC folder structure. I think the Sanyo records in plain vanilla MPEG4. Pinnacle Studio 11 plus can output the complete AVCHD folder structure from a variety of sources. I don't think it'll be as easy as you had hoped.
