Hi, I have a General question about HDMI 1.3...

If all of your Audio/Video components are HDMI 1.3 compatible but you are using HDMI cable that is only 1.2 or less, are you still getting the benifits of 1.3 or do both the cable itself and the components need to be 1.3 compatible?

If the cable runs are not excessive there will be no problem.

Excessive is an arbitrary term. If the 19 wires inside your HDMI cable are 28AGW thickness (or thicker, which would be a lower number) and the ends of your cable are gold plated, you should be fine up to 25' and maybe more.

Ok, but I mean HDMI Version 1.3 and 1.2. My cables are only 6 foot, and are not version 1.3, so I was wondering if that affects my playback not giving me the best posible when my receiver and other components are 1.3?
